Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop failed speakers query (hot)
Hope the title gave some clue as to what I was talking about...
The speakers on this laptop have failed. Here are the symptoms: faint sound coming from the speakers when a file is played the casing around the left and the right speakers is hot to the touch I have currently disconnected the speaker wire from the mobo. Sound is available from the headphone jack. What do I do? Assume that the speakers are defective and replace them, or assume the mobo is AWOL and try to replace that? Laptop is little used, and this comes as a surprise to me. |
