Toshiba Tecra S1 Laptop LCD
I'm troubleshooting what seems like a power problem on a Toshiba Tecra S1. Basically there are no lights and power button does not work. Checked adapter and it puts out 15 volts DC alright. Took the whole thing apart and found the power connector center pin on the motherboard slightly loose. The soldering joints on the connector are fine. It's possible it needs a new connector.
The other thing is there is a beige cable from the LCD with a connector like the ones used for integrated wireless cards main and aux that was hanging there and there is no place to connect it. Does anyone has a clue what this connector is for? I turned the motherboard around looking for a connector but there wasn't any.
On the attached picture it shows 1 cable bundle for the LCD, 1 pair of cables(black and white) that go to the wireless card, and the 1 beige cable. Could this be what they call an inverter?
