My friend has the above mentioned laptop and her cat... yes I said her CAT jumped up on it and ripped up the space bar. The little rubber thimble underneath that pushes the space bar back up and evidently makes the space bar do what it does tore in half. From what I can see it can't be re-glued. Is there a place that sells replacement parts of this type or do I need to replace her whole keyboard?
If a new keyboard is in her future, can someone please tell me how to do so? Any help will be highly appreciated!

Download the service manual from HP, it should show you how to remove and replace the keyboard.
Google Shopping has keyboards starting at around 25 bucks. |
