Good laptop for my needs?

I'm new to the world of laptops so I don't know to much about them, but I want to get one this summer.

I want to use it for mostly gaming, image/video editing, and a little bit of audio editing, so I want something fairly powerful. I'm looking to spend $2,000-$3,000 (could change, depends on what I find I need). Could anyone recommend some good laptop companies for something like this? I've been looking around a little bit, but I just want to be sure I haven't missed a really good company that could save me a lot of trouble and money.

Look at the Dell XPS models for those purposes. It's hard to beat their prices for the performance you get, and they are reasonably reliable.

Get rid of that McAfee. You can do better with free stuff. Do you really need Vista Ultimate?

You could probably find some of the accessories such as the XBOX controller cheap on amazon or something. You could probably save at least $20.

Dell XPS is good choice, they are quite nice for gaming. The Dell XPS M1330 Laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2, 250GB SATA Hard Drive is for $1049. And you can also have a look at the New Dell Precision M6300, I don't have any experience with it but it is said to have the latest Intel processors up to the X7900 as well as the latest NVIDIA Quadro FX1600M. The Quadro FX1600M is comparable in power to the NVIDIA 8700M, normally priced around $2000, a recent deal on it is $1936. Not sure if it is good for gaming.

Quadros are optimized for workstation use, not gaming.
