Keyboard Troubles
Hi, I have a laptop and out of the blue some keys dont work.On the topline its the U-I-O-P buttons. they will display 4-5-6-. On the 2nd line its J-K-L buttons and on the 3rd line its just M. Its like a triangel on the board. Any suggestions

You have your Numlock turned on. You just need to turn it off. It is usually a combination of the Function key and some other key on the keyboard; look for a key with "Numlock" on it.

No thats not it. If numlock was on it would happen with all keys. Thanks anyway. I reckon the keyboard is faulty

That number pad inside the keyboard is controlled by the 'Fn' key. Make sure there is no Function Lock enabled, or the key isn't stuck down.

Your numlock *IS* on............
M = 0 J, K, L = 1, 2, 3 U, I, O = 4, 5, 6 7, 8, 9 = 7, 8, 9 P = * 0 = / ; = - / = + NO other keys will be affected. Your European keyboard may be slightly different for the /, *, -, and + keys. |
