Laptop Backup .. questions before i do it !
Guys .. I decided that my laptop needs a format .. however , I cant format it because I dont have the original vista DVD , but the vista which is installed on he laptop is original . so I will use the backup DVDs to restore the laptop to its manufacture first time statues ! but before doing that I have some questions :
#My laptop is Fujitsu Siemens Amilo pi 2540 running on vista: 1. I have somke files on D drive , will the backup affect them ? 2. I have 250GB divided into 120GB for C drive and the rest for D drive .. I would like to make a 3rd portion and change the sizes .. is that possible using backups , I can empty the harddisk and put all my files on a safe place. 3. I have a file on drive C named "x86" .. it contains a vista setup file ... is this kinda the OS setup that I can use alone for a format ? 4. Can I have windwos XP beside the vista ... how I would do that ? sorry for such questions .. this is the first time I use backup drives and vista backup ... thanks for advancing .. Being that you have started a new thread on the same issue, I'm closing this one.
