Core 2 Duo - Device Manager Query

Just received a new Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop with a Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66Ghz processor in it.

All working fine, but I noticed that the processor section in Device Manager (Vista Home Premium) shows up as two separate processors:

CPU1 - Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66Ghz
CPU2 - Core 2 Duo T7300 2Ghz

This seems odd but is as the laptop came out of the box.

Does anyone know why this might be? Is it worth worrying about/correcting?

Cheers,
TK

Done a fair amount of Googling and can't find anything relevant.
Sorry to bump but I am hoping someone might be able to offer some advise.

Never seen that one before. What does the bios show? It may just be a glitch in Vista.

Take a screenshot and show us. Seems odd as I've never seen a single core overclocked. Unless you're experiencing problems then I'd guess it's just as Panama Red suggested or an incorrect BIOS reading.

It's not unusual to have one core stepped down below the top speed that the cpu is capable of on a laptop that uses dynamic power management features or to have the cores showing different Ghz settings. The dynamic power management software steps the individual cores up or down based upon the load being placed on each core. I would guess that's what's going on here coupled with a misreading by vista of the top end of your cpu. If you want to investigate further, take a look in your bios setup and see how the cpu is listed.
