Gateway 6866 wireless =N
Okay,i just bought my gateway 6866 on the fourth of july from circuit city http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Gatew...oductDetail.do and when i bought i noticed it had wireless N receiveing on the laptop and that was real big plus because thats whats to come later on in the future but not many hot spots use N . Is it really that good if it is then why is it no one uses N broadcasting

Wireless N is still undergoing review and changes. It is not yet an "official" standard. Wireless N tends to differ between manufacturers, and as a result, you typically can't use a wireless card that was made by one manufacturer with an access point made by another.
Hence, the lack of adoption. Also, because your laptop doesn't use the official standard, you probably won't be able to use it with devices that use the official standard when they come out. So, getting wireless N now is not really very benifical unless you have a specific environment in which to take advantage of it. Technical details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11n
