ASUS Eee PC 1000H

hey guys,

i got asked by someone if this was a good laptop to get - she knows it has a small display etc.. all she wants to know is if itll run photoshop and MS Office and typical MS programs of that nature smoothly? considering photoshop is somewhat intensive when used intensively.

couldn't find a review that states the laptop's performance with photoshop so had to ask here

Thanks in advance.

Read the first paragraph.

That should give you an idea about photoshop.

For the needs, she would be better off getting a more powerful laptop.

Maybe a dell: http://www.dell.com/content/products...x/inspnnb_1525

I would think anything with a dual core should work.

There's always a Thinkpad R61.

cool, the 600$ inspiron 1525 should be good so it seems

Thanks a lot, i would personally never buy a laptop, just love the customization abilities and whatnot on a desktop, but we got this all settled now.

Thanks again

edit: the R61? that would be such an overkill for what she wants to do.

The R61 is the entry level Thinkpad, and it's rock solid and reliable. Here in the US it starts at $650, hardly overkill. It's also readily available with XP, Dell makes you buy a downgrade to still get XP.
