A tip for Verizon users
I had been having a problem with my service lately. Calls would not ring in. They would go directly to my voice mail instead. As you can imagine, playing voice mail tag with customers can be annoying and time consuming. So, I called Verizon customer service to discuss the matter (along with a couple of billing issues). Turns out, Verizon recommends updating your phone every 30 days! They are constantly upgrading/updating their software and unless you keep your phone up to date you may encounter issues such as mine. To run the Verizon software update, dial *228 and select option 2. It's that easy. I don't know if this fixed my missed calls issue but I just wanted others to know of this feature. I bet I'm not the only one that missed that info.

Do you know if AT&T has something similar?

To the best of my knowledge, AT&T automatically pushes updates to the phone, but you have to reboot it to take effect.
