Problem connecting to my wireless network

On a second computer running WinXP Pro SP2, I'm using a USB 2.0 wireless network adapter. Every time I bootup, I get a "limited or no connection" error message. So far, I've figured out that Windows is not connecting to the wifi. When I go into Network Connections/Wireless Network Connection/Properties/Wireless Networks and click the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings", then OK, it connects. It un-checks itself after every reboot. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.

Take the adapter's configuration utility out of the startup or use the utility to configure it.
