Laptop AC adapter/charger

My AC adapter has gone south for my Toshiba Satellite 2410 laptop. I can't see any problems within the adapter box. I tried a universal auto voltage adapter and the computer charges properly. The only problem is I'm not sure if buying a new charger like that is the right way to go. The ones I have seen range in price from $24.99 to $69.99. But is buying one of these units the safe way to go or is the Toshiba branded replacement the right way. All of the aftermarket ones come in different rated wattage outputs with the correct volt/amp ratings. Yet the original Toshiba one doesn't have a wattage rating. If I look at what is being offerred for sale on ebay or many online stores they have a wattage rating from 65w to 120w. I assume the higher the wattage the quicker the charge rate. Some even say the computer's charging system will only use the required watts to charge. So if I buy the supposedly faster adapter(120w), am I wasting money because the computer will only use say 75w? Any thoughts???

The Toshiba web site says the original was 75 watts. Here are the specs from the web site:
