New Laptop, opinions wanted

Looking for a laptop, trying to keep it around 600, maybe 700 if it's really worth it. I've been looking around, and picked out a two I liked. Maybe help me decide, pro's and con's, or even suggest a whole new laptop.

Dell Vostro - 1510
Core2Duo - T5670
15.4' WXGA+
2 GB DDR2
Integrated Graphics X3100
250 GB HDD
6 Cell Bat.
~ $639 + Shipping

Lenovo SL500
Core2Duo - T5670
15.4' WXGA
2 GB DDR2
Integrated Graphics X4500
250 GB HDD
9 Cell Bat.
~ $691.69 + shipping

They're both pretty similar, same proc., ram, and hdd. I like the Vostro because it's screen is WXGA+, which is 1680 by 1050. I have a 1680X1050 monitor, and plugging in in wouldn't require me to readjust the resolution. Also, it's about 60 bucks cheaper. The Lenovo on the other hand, has the 9 cell battery, which is really important to me. To upgrade the battery on the dell would be another 100 bucks. The graphics are a little better and it's got the Lenovo name. Any recommendations? Are they are deals to help tip the scales?

The only thing you didn't compare are the warranties.

The SL500 is a newer model, based on the Montevina Centrino platform that just came out in mid-August. Also, WXGA+ isn't 1680x1050, it's 1440x900; WSXGA+ is 1680x1050. Another thing to consider -- I believe the Vostro does not have an HDMI port, whereas the SL500 does. You can get an HDMI to DVI cable and use your flat-panel with a straight digital connection.
