Vewrizon (STarcom) xv6700 non ring???
hi
maybe sumone can help me.. I have a verizon (Starcom) xv6700 "smart" phone which works fine- except-iot does not ring on incoming phone calls,. 5 trips to 5 different Verizon "technical" centers has yeilded nothing.,.they want only to sell me a new phone (great service!) phone rings fine on the setup screen..but..does not ring to incoming calls... is this "fixable"..phone has latest software updates etc. outgoing calls work fine as does wifi/ vzaccess etc etc. thanx. (Verizon sent me a bill for $530--charging me $419 for "data useage" 10/9-10/14/08..straightening this out was a nightmare--turned out that Verizon didnt input the "unlimited data plan" I had initiated early October!!) |

Talk to their retentions people and complain. they should be able to help you get a new phone. threaten to leave.

unfortunately the phone is used..it works great except for the "no incoming call ring" issue--the seller promised a refund but is not responding to emails! given what i paid for it-will keep as it functions great as a mini wireless computer and camera..and it does make outgoing calls fine. As long as callers leave a voicemail-I know who has called me!
wonder if there is anything else to try?..i suspect the circuitry which reacts to incoming calls is defective..but..is it replaceaable? tx |

the seller? did you buy this used from someone else? If so, then verizon isn't really wrong when they just try to seel you a different phone. They can just say that if you bought from them, or an authorized dealer then the phone would be covered.
