Toshiba Laptop Satellite P100
I am trying to help a friend who accidentally messed up his display trying to connect to the TV. It boots up, shows the Windows XP logo for a few seconds, then the screen goes black. I have tried running all of the various start-up modes, such as safe mode, with the same result. Fn/F5 which should toggle through the display modes, does nothing. Unfortunately his original system disks are sitting back in a container in Canada, so any restore attempt is not possible.
Any help would be much appreciated, including if anyone knows who might service Toshiba in David.
