laptop have to be plugged into surge protector

We keep our laptops plugged in a lot. Battery life is only about 2 hours and it's just easier to keep it plugged in. Do we need to make sure we have or carry around a surge protector everytime we plug the laptop in? We don't necessarily always use the same plug outlet to plug it in. Depends on what room we are in. I never did in the past, but my husband was wondering if we should be doing that. I usually just plug it directly into the wall nearby where I am.

You might want to get one of these for each laptop - it would make it very easy to move.

Surge suppressors are not as essential for laptops as they are for desktops - the power brick will *usually* absorb any hits - but with the possibility of blowing out the brick.
