notebook monitor refresh rate problem

My brother just recently purchased a high end notebook computer. While trying to play a game that required his refresh rate for his monitor to be 60hertz the game doesnt start. I have tried switching to 60hertz but the only option is 59herts. I even e-mailed the place he bought the computer from asking them and they pretty much responded with trying to switch it to 60hertz via the display panel.

So I figured if its possible to configure to 60hertz this board might have some insight!

thanks

I'll try to get them from him. He's in S.Korea at the moment for the US Army.

What specs would be useful for this issue?

I remember hes running Vista.

Try installing the generic Nvidia driver. They have them available, click on notebook drivers.
