buying a phone overseas COMPATIBILITY?
one of my relatives is overseas (india) and I am in need of a new phone. I've read good things of the Cect p168 Iphone clone, and i've also heard good things of knockoffs in general from Popular Science which says that they are becoming better than normal.
however, what kind of compatibility issues will there be with american AT&T service? something to do with bands? quad band? I don't know much about this. I'm assuming it will be cheaper in india because it's an oriental phone. thanks. |

I know that GSM is the technology that most of the rest of the world uses, which is what ATT uses. Verizon uses CDMA. If you dont get a better answer here, try Howard Forums. Its all things cell phones.
