hdd light?

I didnt know the right thread to post this on, sorry. My question is, on my Acer Aspire One netbook at the top there are four led indicators. the first being battery life, the second i think being te hdd light, and the third and fourth being the caps and num lock. Is it normal that my hdd light blinks alot? is it bad that its only rearely green and mostly red? I cant seem to find an answer to this question? Can a fall mess up the hard drive at all? Sorry, computer illiterate.

The HDD light blinks with HDD activity so that is very normal.
I'm not sure what the Red and Green colors signify.

A fall can definitely damage a hard drive but your machine uses a Solid State Drive (SSD): flash memory with no moving parts. I would guess the LED colors indicate read and write, though I wasn't able to confirm this with an online search. Another possibility would be access to the internal drive vs. the external slot. If you've got your manual or find one online I would guess that would list what the colors mean.

You could ask about the light colors on their User Forum:
