Bad microphone on Dell Vostro 1500
The integrated microphone on my Dell Vostro (the one in my sig) makes me sound like I'm Darth Vader under water. When I plug in a headset w/ mic I'm told it just sounds like static and/or loud feedback sounds. Is this a hardware issue that would require me sending the laptop back to Dell or just a software issue I can deal with myself?
Thanks, xraycat

if the audio is bad with both the built-in mic and the headset mic, then it is most likely a hardware problem in the sound card inside the computer.
by trying two differant mic's, you elimenate the mic as a possibel problem. |
