Laptop buying help

I am looking into buying a laptop that would be able to handle some recent games and multitasking. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money since I'll be buying a full-fledged gaming desktop in 4-6 months. I was looking at this laptop:

Some of the complaints like short battery life and loud mouse clicks don't apply to me (I'll always have it somewhere that it'll be easy to plug in and I use a USB mouse). The webcam would also be useful to me for keeping in touch. Is this a good deal? Is there some other laptops I should be looking into?

Asus is about the only laptop I'll buy other than Dell or Lenovo. Lenovo doesn't make gamers, they are excellent business laptops.
