Laptop Switching Itself Off And Losing Settings?

My Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 1505 has developed a really bad fault recently. The laptop has been trouble from day one and always had screen issues. However now the laptop will just totally shut itself down for no reason. Eventually it will restart after repeatedly pressing the power button. However when it does restart it has lost all it’s time settings etc. It also had an intermittent screen fault, where the screen would go blank but the laptop was still running, to rectify it I would close the laptops screen and open it again and it would come back on. This was just an annoyance but now the laptop is just totally shutting down. I have had the laptop for around 2 ½ years and have never been happy with it. I was just wondering is there any cheapish fix worth trying for this fault or am I better off just junking it?

Honestly? I'd replace it.
