HP G60-120US Overheating after downgrade
I recently downgraded my HP G60-120US Notebook to windows XP Pro. I am aware that this voids my software warranty on my laptop but software isnt my concern. After I did the downgrade my computer seems to be running very hot (idle is around 82C). If I open up any game it will run until it hits 100C (the system shutdown point) and this is kinda baffling me. I have looked on every forum and on every place possible across the internet before coming and posting here. I was wondering what may cause this issue. Is there a known bug on laptops that causes them to run hotter while in Windows XP Pro? Is this a hardware issue? I have called the support line having little help or hope in there ability to assist me. If anyone can assist me in finding out the issue to this please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

This is just a GUESS - that laptop may rely on software to manage the cooling system.
