You are generally safe with a Dell. I'd take that over any other brand from a big box store.

Did I screw up?

Dell outlet was closed (two years ago) guess I don't pay much attention. Bought a Fujitsu A1120 intel core 2 duo t6400 15.6 WXGA VHP DLDDVD 4g 320GB 1year warranty (take it back into store) web cam

HP Laser printer p1006
Carrying Case
Mouse
USB cable for printer

Was a mothers day special for $799.00 Has an Sd card reader slot 3 usb seems like it will do for what my wife needs it for only two things I could find was no firewire port and no blue ray dvd playback. Ok now feel free to tell me all the horror stories and how bad I got took.

She still hasn't seen it so the final authority hasn't spoken yet.

Fujitsu is actually a pretty good manufacturer that surprisingly has low market penetration in the US. I would upgrade the warranty to 3 years just to be safe, though.
