ibm 390x laptop--no power on

issue: IBM 390x (PII-400) notebook does not power on


disc: neighbor tried to remove ram chip without powering down..said he saw "spark" on motherboard (near the ram chip holder)..no--no power on

suspect fuse..does anyone know fuse location for this machine???..or..cld it be another (more serious) issue?

I would suspect they fried the mobo and or ram slot.
Wouldn't hurt to look n see if there is a reset button on the bottom of the lappy.
