Just got a new laptop, but no xp drivers?
Hey guys and gals,
I just got a new laptop from Asus. It is an ASUS F50SV-X1 Found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220520 It came with Vista 32bit Home Premium. I would like to install WinXP 32bit on it but there seems to be no drivers for XP from the Asus website. And the cds that came with it have no xp drivers just vista. Is there a way around this or am I stuck with Vista. I don't want to install W7. Any and all would be appreciated!

Sorry, there are no XP drivers for that model. You are stuck with Vista. You should have done a bit better research before buying a laptop if you knew you wanted XP. There are still some laptops that offer a XP downgrade and that ain't one of them.

Yea, I was going to try to find who was the manufacturer of the LAN port and install their xp drivers, but I figure it would be too much of a hassle to get things working with XP. Installing Vista Ultimate right now. Thanks for the help. At least now I can switch between dx9 and dx10.
