Garmin Map question

I have a garmin street pilot 2720 with all the accessories. I have the origanol 2006 cd and I have the 2009 update. I'm looking at purchasing a 2nd one used without the map software for a good price. Will I be able to load the maps from my original 2006 map cd as well as update to my 2009 version. Thanks in advance for the advise. LOU

Question answered

Got my answer on forums.gpsreviews.net.
City Navigator is locked for one specific gps only. I will have to purchase the maps.

Garmin has some obnoxious license terms. I have one and I'll say that the device is great, but they really suck ...in terms of sucking money out of your pockets.

It's not their fault - the mapping software is all 3rd party.

Ah, I see. Glad to know it's not them ... their GPS's are good.
