haanstar J MV-4 CMOS battery

Hi!
Was wondering if anyone has any experience with the HaanStar J MV-4 motherboard. I'm trying to fix a laptop for a friend (Gateway M 1626). The bios clock resets after every reboot and it reports an error loading config settings during POST. My thought was to replace the CMOS battery, but I can't find the little bugger. I do see a spot with an unused connector where a battery with wire leads may have once been connected (my friend had another tech working on the laptop before me so maybe they removed the battery for some reason). I can't find any schematics on the net. HannStar's PCB website is in Chinese. If any one here is able to help I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks!

You are looking in the wrong place for info. You need to research at Gateway, not Hannstar. I don't see a detailed manual for that model there, so you may have to e-mail them.

Thanks for the reply. I've already tried Gateway. They don't have any detailed info regarding the motherboard on their support site and they won't answer any of my questions by e-mail for anything less than sixty dollars. That's why I posted here.
