A2DP & Ventrilo
I have a MotoROKR S9 A2DP Bluetooth headset.
It works fine with my laptop when I am listening to music, but when it comes to Ventrilo it seems to only work when I set it to mono. When I use A2DP the sound from the mic is garbled and I get no sound. Sound from other apps play fine. I've been told to tryout Bluesoleil drivers, but I want to make sure that's the problem before I spend the money. Right now I am using the latest Widcomm drivers and Vista 64-bit. Any help appreciated. |

I found out that BlueSoleil offers a trial version of their software.
Even with BlueSoleil I find that when I try to play back in stereo while having the mic enabled, that I get no sound. The microphone works as long as the sound is mono. Is this a limitation of the driver, the technology, Windows? Is there a solution that anyone knows of? Edit: After a lot of tweaking - I've still only been able to get the mic to work exclusively with mono audio. I can enable both the stereo audio and mic/mono audio simultaneously, but it seems like the mic/mono override. If I select the stereo audio in ventrilo it just gives me no sound and garbled mic. I don't really need it for vent, but I would like to listen to stereo audio in games. I can understand that this technology is designed for phones so they assume there is no need for stereo audio when receiving a call, but did they should have expected this to be used for laptops as well... I'd really be able to play games and talk on ventrilo with stereo sound for at least my games. Not to mention I listen to music while I play. I am hoping there is at least some hack to get these things to work the way I want them to. Last edited by nilum; 07-30-2009 at 12:44 AM. |

I know this is a bit dated but I am on the edge of the same situation.
I found a how to on using this with visita. Seems there is a trick to this but it appears do able. I have been helping a friend at work with this. Anways I haven't tested this solution yet as I found it after leaving work. I hope to try it in the next couple days. http://www.lytebyte.com/2008/07/06/h...et-with-vista/ Just in case it helps you before I can confirm.

update
I have found that there are many FAKE or in other words counterfeit S9s being sold on Ebay. It is possible if your came from EBAY it may have been a fake.
