Netbook Suggestions

Hey guys, I'm looking into possibly getting a netbook, and I don't know a whole lot of good brands and such, I know there are a ton of brands out there and was just wondering who you guys think give the best bang for the buck, thanks.

You can get a Asus eee . I have one, and so do a few others. They are reliable and feel solid.

Depending on your budget, use you can probably find one that you can be happy with.

To find the best price, enter the model number of the one you want into Google, do a search, then hit the Shopping link up top. Make sure you check on the reliability of the seller, shipping costs, and whether you will have to pay sales tax.

I bought my 900HA from Newegg without researching prices. No complaints.

2 things you may need:

1. External DVD drive
2. Ram upgrade

I really like those eee's (Newegg doesn't sell the 9 or 7 inches anymore? That sucks because they would probably be even cheaper, not that I mind too much.) But I was looking on Newegg, and I saw that this Acer Aspire is about the exact same as the EEE 1000HA and a little less. Does anyone have any experience with and Aspire, I realize that Asus is a much more trusted brand.

I won't touch Acer with a 10 foot pole these days.

The 9 inch EEE's are discontinued.

I don't know, just one they had on display. I was there to get an IPhone, another toy don't need but qualified for as an upgrade. Saw the 2 netbooks, asked some questions, etc. I didn't get deep into it, but did ask about recovery disk and was told could download from Microsoft. I ain't that stupid so didn't bite. The plastic was in my hand however but common sense said, "ask PCMech". The IPhone has taken me all day to figure out so the boy has a new toy.
