Inexpensive laptop

Any suggestions on best bang for buck laptops. Going to be gaming only (wow). Other than that just basic stuff, excel, powerpoint, word etc. browsing and email. Any suggestions at all would be helpful, I am a student so some places do give a small discount.

I usually point people to dell, though you might have to get the discount code or link from your school's IT department

WoW has gotten too bloated to run well on integrated graphics - so you will need something with an ATI or Nvidia graphics adapter. A Dell Inspiron 15 with an optional dual core processor, 4gb ram, and an ATI adapter is in the mid $600's.

I'm not sure if it's "bloated", but they have been increasing the polygon count with each expansion. Agreed on the no integrated graphics.

Up until the last WoW update, my stepdaughter's Dell laptop with Mobile 965 Express graphics handled the game acceptably. Now it's painful.

Yeah I like the inspiron 15 setup for mid 600s. I get 7% off any dell, going to configure one now. Thanks for all the input and advice.

Anyone had any experience with purchases from dell outlet? I'm thinking of purchasing a refurbished dell 1545 with the specs I want. $589.00

Experiences are generally good, they do come with a warranty.

Buy it before it's gone.
