Question Laptop Keeps Freezing

Hello everyone,
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li2735 Laptop which I bought last year, I use it all the time now as I have moved and have limited space, the problem is that every so often it keeps freezing, you cannot do anything at all and have to power it off and re-start it, even the clock on the screen stops, it can fine all day then it will just freeze up. I have tried system restore it case it was some kind of virus but it didn't help. I download alot and sometimes it freezes during the night.

Any pointers to what it could be?

Thanks guys

is the laptop hot?
have you check the exhaust/intake vent, is it partly blocked by dust?

Sounds like its getting hot.

Try running diagnostics on the hard drive and RAM to make sure they aren't acting up.

Wink Solved

After trying everything else I decided to do a clean install of Vista, this cleared the problem and the laptop is working fine.
