what do you think of netbooks & rocketsticks?

Hi, I am wondering what you think of netbooks and rocketsticks? I am sick of my computer and I really only use it now for

small wordprocessing
Itunes and buying/playing musics
email
internet news and googling
facebook
possibly viewing dvd's

I have a 1.6 GHz pentuim right now and it is fast enough but some people have told me I would find the netbook really slow? What do you think?

Also, what do you think of the Roger's rocketstick? It sounds great to me but so did dialup....

thanx for your opinions, I am not an expert.

I am very happy with my Asus EEEPC. However, to play DVD's you would need an external drive, netbooks do not come with an optical drive at all. I have also heard that they can struggle somewhat trying to play movies.
