keyboard and touchpad don't work
This is a new one on me. working on an Acer Aspire 3050. The owner said that it would freeze on them. it booted the first couple of times, but now it freezes at the logon. the touchpad doesn;t work. also, when the blue screen of scan drive c: appears, it asks if you want to skip scanning by touching any key, but the keyboard does not respond. works fine in safe mode. any suggestions?

What happens when it scans the drive?
Try hooking up an external keyboard and or mouse. |

I Reinstalled windows completely and installed 2 gb of ram and it will still freeZe up at the desktop. The keyboard and touchpad. I put my wireless mouse on it and it will work fine but the keyboard still doesn't work. I've got to find a keyboard to attach externally and see if that will work. Will boot to safe mode and the keyboard and touchpad work just find.

See if Acer has drivers for the keyboard or touchpad, that may help. When you go into device manager is there anything with exclamation mark beside it?

Hi, Please press FN+F9 in your keyboard. This will enable your keyboard and Touch pad.
also check by connecting external Keyboard and mouse to verify that whether this is a Driver issue or not. |
