Problem with headphone jack. now unusable

Well I have an asus eee pc. When I plugged in my headphones the tip of the plugin broke off inside. It is impossible to remove. My question is, I have a microphone jack as well is the anyway to set up the audio controls so that it sends signals instead of receiveing them?

Nope, you can't change an input to an output.

Where did the tip snap off? Depending on where it snapped off, you *might* able to fish out the tip using a pen-like magnet.

If it's still under warranty, you might want to inquire if this situation would be covered under it.
