eee pc Local Disk D
So I just got my asus eee pc 1005ha with xp home and I find out that there is an extra D partition in my 160gb hdd which is the same size as my main C partition.
In this partition I see a folder named 3bb8e71cebd7818a8c7f8c54. Inside it there is a folder i396 which is about 3mb and an amd64 folder about 3.66mb. Do I need these files because I plan to merge the D partition with the C partion? And why do I have an amd64 folder when I'm obviously running an Intel N280 processor with Intel integrated graphics and no AMD stuff whatsoever? |

I'd leave those files alone. Also, do not TOUCH the hidden recovery partition.
What I did with my eee is move the My Documents structure to D and left the partitions alone. If you do this by right clicking on My Documents, properties, move, all programs that use it will still be linked. If you absolutely must have everything on C, shrink the D to a few gb and expand C to compensate. |
