Help managing music in ITunes/Ipod
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, with that being said....
Here's my problem...I just recently joined the new millennium and got a Ipod...lol, but I'm struggling to manage my music. I have several albums (MP3 format) that I already have on my HDD in one location and using a copy of them in I-tunes. The problem is that I had several folders that needed to be re-formatted to work correctly with my ipod (so the albums art and track list would be right, editing unwanted tracks, etc.), but after I corrected the files in my storage location I can't seem to get I-tunes to update the files. I am at the end of my rope with this, so any help would appreciated. Yes, I tried "Googling" it but weeding through all the BS has proven to be a waste of time as well. So thanks in advance for all of your help.

You been inadvertently working against iTunes.
Scroll down and there's the answer to your album artwork problem : http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...lounge-8-7-09/ The complete guide for that is here : http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...sts-in-itunes/ Here's complete explanation of how iTunes works : http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...ide-to-itunes/ Merry Christmas and enjoy the iPod, I got my first one a year ago.

Yes, iPods are great but it takes some time to get used to the way they do things. I find it most helpful to do the Google searches on the problem rather than trying to wade through their self help forums. Also, you can forget trying to get someone on the phone from Apple to help you unless you don't mind paying the money. Learning that was kind of a shocker since I had the impression that Apple was so user friendly.

Tech support is free for the first 90 days.
After that I've had very good results with IM or email with any iTunes problem. They only charge for phone calls after that grace period. The other two are free. |
