Laptop Suggestions...
Hello all,
I'm about to go abroad again, so I'm looking for a new laptop before I leave. Fortunately, I don't have to spend "real money" to get it. Unfortunately, my prize points limit my selection.... Here are the brands I can get without spending money: HP, Asus, Dell, Sony, Panasonic, Acer, Toshiba, Samsung, Apple I've been reading a lot of threads on this forum regarding this topic and it seems like Lenovo and Dell are the top choices for people on the move. I was looking at the Dell Latitude e6500. I've read both positive and negative reviews regarding this laptop. What I want: - relatively light weight (doesn't need to be ultra light... but I don't want to lug around a brick) - energy efficient - durable (I don't need a toughbook or anything... but something that can take a little abuse) I will be using the laptop mostly for business. I don't really need a multimedia-type laptop, but I will probably watch movies and do some heavy multi-tasking. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot! |

I just bought a Dell Studio 17 laptop, I know your looking for something smaller, but Dell makes them smaller. I very impress with the laptop, for it does what I want it to do (Adobe Production Suite CS4) and is very rock solid with Windows 7.

Whr2206, congrats on the win. If I may ask, how did you get a freebie? :-)

If I were to transfer the points into real money, it would translate to about 20pts : 1 usd So, I don't have much of a choice but to use them as they are... If I buy something that costs $1,500usd... I need 1,500 points |

With those choices and criteria, the Dell Latitude "E" series is a clear winner to me. It's a road warrior without going all the way to a Toughbook. The only other true road warrior is a Lenovo.
