in need of laptop advice
My old Dell finally died and im on a pretty tight budget. I was looking into a netbook but got the impression that they sucked so i came across two affordable alternatives. Its between this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+-...=1218152461763 and this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+A...&skuId=9555769 All i really used my laptop for was to download music/fill my ipod, internet, and download or stream movies from netflix, hulu etc. The 5 or 6 year old Dell handled these tasks fine so i cant imagine even at such a low price that either of these two would have much of a problem. So i guess i was hoping someone could give me some input on which would better suit my needs. Thanks. |

I wouldn't trust either brand - look for another Dell or see if you can find an Asus in your budget.
Netbooks do not suck - I love my Asus EeePC. |

Can't tell you - I don't stream movies. All I can say is it handles You Tube fine, but so does my 10 year old Thinkpad. You are right, a netbook is a bit weak to use as a primary PC.
Dell Inspiron 15 with Vista starts at $399 on the home site, $449 with Win 7 on the small business site. |
