Tosh Sat Pro A200 - loose wiring?

My laptop is a Toshiba Sat Pro A200, about 1 year old. For the past few days it's been intermittently having episodes constituting the following symptoms (occuring together):
- screen goes blank (display & backlight)
- unresponsive except for the hard power control (ie where you hold the power button down for ~10 seconds)
- all HD activity stops
- DVD drive LED flashes (orange) and continues to do so
- sometimes the battery LED changes from blue (indicating fully-charged) to orange (indicating charging). To put this in context, the battery has always been fully charged and mains power has always been connected.
- the only way to get out of it is a hard power-down and a reboot
- replicable independent of OS

It seems to occur when the laptop experiences shock or vibration - even very gently - especially on the right hand side. This is what makes me think it's possibly a loose connection. It doesn't seem to occur in standby mode, so I don't think it's the RAM. CPU or mobo ROM maybe? Before I pull it apart and start poking around aimlessly I was hoping someone might have some thoughts..?

Cheers
Jim

If it's still on warranty, get it in for service.
