Dell Inspiron e1505 - No Start

Hello,
I have a Dell inspiron e1505 that had a bad power jack. I completely took it apart and resoldered the power jack. Put it 3/4 of the way back together. (Screen, Cpu+cooling, power switch) pretty much everything except the hard drive. I just wanted to make sure it would start. IT DID. It booted into BIOS and said no OS found. (As I was expecting). THEN all of a sudden without me doing anything it shuts off. I tried to start it again... nothing. No lights. Nothing. Is there any reason a pc would run for 5 seconds and then shut off? Did i just forget something or is my mobo fried?

Thanks,

oh, my bad... I looked back in their and realized that the CPU fan wasn't connected! Haha, I've read that will cause a PC not to start...

Thanks Anyways!
