Looking for new laptop, looking at this sony good deal?

Hey guys, Looking for some advice again.
A buddy of mine is looking to replace a laptop that just died (We are college students) and he was thinking about the sony vaio VGN-NW310F
I can't really find any reviews on this model, and whats bothering the most is the processor. The specs say its an Intel Pentium T4400(2.2GHz) is this a reliable/good CPU for a laptop?

We are also open to advice on other laptops that u will suggest.
His budget is around 600bucks and if really necessary up to 800USD. His needs are word processing, internet (FB youtube etc), Instand messaging, no gaming no hardcore video requirements.

thanks guys.

All new latops being sold will do the limited things you mentioned our friend needs to do. Just some will do it a liitle faster then others....But things like hard drive space could play into the situation...
