Just by referring to the specs I think the G51J will outperform the G71Gx. Other than the CPU, chipset and memory the G51J should still be much faster. Not sure on the reviews yet, but maybe someone else has some insight.

G51J, I own one and I sold a ton of them, probably over 100, those are about the best laptops on the market.
