IBM Thinkpad Problem
IBM Thinkpad Model A31 won't start. When I plug in the power cord an amber light comes on, it may momentarily turn green. However when I push the power button to turn the computer on the amber light, or green light goes out completely. Anyone have any idea what is happening here. Someone told me that my problem is probably the motherboard. How can I check to find out exactly what the problem is?

Motherboard problem
I am trying to remove the motherboard from IBM Thinkpad A31 Type 2652. Can someone tell me how to do this. I joined PCMech because I have very limited knowledge on computer repair and even less money. Can someone tell how to do this or where to go to get the information.
