My laptop just started to have white horizontal lines appear across the screen after a minute of use. If I shut off the screen and turn it back on they disappear, but they're are back in a min. It's not a huge problem but is a pain in the ass if I'm writing a paper or trying to watch a movie. Any idea on what is causing this or how i can fix it?
Thanks for any help. |

Connect an external monitor. This will tell you if it's the screen or the graphics adapter.
Please post the brand and model of the laptop. |

It's an Asus eeePc 1000ha. I set up a separate monitor like you suggested and It's been working without any problem.

Okay, you have a screen issue. Is it still on warranty?

It may need a replacement screen, or possibly just the ribbon cable between the motherboard and the display needs reseating or replacement.
