My HP Pavillion 8510p works fine, it gets a bit slow once in a while, but it's not that bad. The real problem is when I put it in standby. Most times nothing goes wrong, but sometimes (and those few times are really annoying) the screen wont turn on. Sometimes I can put it back into standby, turn it on again and everything is ok. Other times I have to kill the laptop and turn it back on to make it work. It's not a screen issue. I'm sure of it because 6 moths ago I had to change the screen (it died on me, ty for warranty :P). It happened before the screen change and it has happened after the screen change.
So anyone know how to fix this? PS: I use XP pro 32 bit. Last edited by Anomo; 03-28-2010 at 07:12 AM. |

How often are the "few times?"
If it's once every few weeks it could take years to figure out if any of the ideas from here work or not. |

Standby & Hibernate issues can be associated with graphics driver.Do you have the latest posted on your models pages?

I do believe that I have the latest version of my driver, but I will download it again and reinstall to make sure. |
