Fujitsu notebook, and others

I have another lady at work asking me to help her buy a laptop. She wants something small and reasonably priced. Just needs to do word processing, internet, and programs such as Rosetta Stone.

We were looking at this one but don't know much about Fujitsu and the AMD processor included:

Feel free to make any other suggestions in this price range with at least the same capacity and capabilities.

Thank you

EDIT: Whoops....just discovered this doesn't have a DVD drive. I'll keep researching.

Just noticed it's a recertified unit...only has a 90 day warranty unless you pay$59.00 for a years.

Yeah...too big anyway. She's looking for something 12" or smaller. I should say she wants something thin and light and told me this afternoon she's willing to pay 8 or 9 hundred.

The only 12 inch laptops I can find with an internal optical drive are very expensive - like $1400. If she will go to 13", there's a lot more choices. Otherwise, get an Asus UL20 and an external slim DVD burner.

That's a great suggestion GLC. I'll pass this on to her. So far I've also suggested these two:
