HP Netbook corrupt BIOS recovery

It wont boot up. The BIOS is corrupt. Its XP OS. Can it be recovered with software on a usb drive?

I would recommend you calling HP, did your netbook come with any discs, or possibly a recovery partition? And yes, I know, netbooks don't come with CD drives, but I know Acers give operating system discs with theirs, just in case something happens. Depending on what HP says, it might be a good idea to take the hard drive out of the computer, hook it up to another computer with an enclosure, and recover the data that way.

Reloaded the sw with an ext drive and all is well.
