Bluetooth Headsets
Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase a Bluetooth headset to use with my new Android based Motorola phone. I've actually never used/purchased one before, so I'm looking for some advice from you guys on what you think (based on your experience) might be good brands/models to consider. Thanks in advance - have a great weekend! |

The best BT headsets I've used are from Jawbone or Plantronics. Jawbones products are sometimes more ... But their feature set is amazing. Jawbone ICON series have just really good noise cancellation. Some of the necessary features I would look for in a headset are..
Good noise cancellation A physical on/off button The ability of the headset to play 'nice' with voice dialing features of the fone Number announcements thru the headset And something that is frequently overlooked, but is one of my pet peeves, having a universal charger to charge up... Which is why I liked the jawbones .. Their microUSB charger is quite universal.. Will save u the trouble of always carrying around a charger just for the headset (most phones other than incompAPPLE) have accepted universal standards. Be aware that you may need to actually delve into the BTs or phones capabilities to make sure that all the features work for ur phone/headset pair... But in general being a new phone like a Droid/2, I don't think u will have problems. If you are looking for something that you will be using in an automobile, I would look into BT capable GPS' as well. |

Thanks guys. The Jawbone ICON series looked pretty nice to me feature-wise and people were also generally very pleased with them. So I ordered the Icon "The Thinker" in black off AMZN a short while ago. Looking forward to pairing with my new Droid X. Thanks again.

I have had two Voyager 510s and they both broke after minimal use. I've found a combination of a built-in car kit, wired stereo earbuds/IEMs, and handheld works best for me, because all of the above are much sturdier.
I'm also planning on getting that new Sony Ericsson Android watch once it comes out and I get an Android phone.
