Hello all,
First I hope this is going into the correct forum, if this should be in Windows Legacy I apologize. Situation: My friend uses a scanner for his business that is based on Windows Pocket PC 2003. He has been unable to sync the scanner to his notebook properly, which is necessary for the business, and all signs are pointing toward the OS itself on the Pocket PC scanner being faulty. Perhaps a corrupted file, seems the likeliest reason. What we both want to do is wipe the Pocket PC, format the drive, and do a fresh OS install. Caveat: He has no OS disc, but can download the Pocket PC 2003 version (or so he thinks). Without it being able to sync with his notebook, or any other pc for that matter, how would I go about formatting and installing the new OS? Could it be done from the SD card slot on an SD card running an .iso? The manufacturer of the device is relatively unclear, the case is marked Dolphin Electronics, but that is the maker of the scanner (it looks like a gun, with an IR scanner on the front) with the Pocket PC held within. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! And unfortunately this is a rather time sensitive matter, as he's out of business until it is resolved, and the only solution besides this is sending the unit in and waiting 3 weeks for a replacement at a cost of $3,000
